Mapping of each land parcel of 13 villages under the Ropar Wetland region. Each Village revenue map was digitized and a consolidated plan of the Ropar Wetland region was prepared. Satellite Imageries of 5.8 m resolution (PAN + LISS III merged data) were used to get the latest information and to extract features like link roads, canals new settlements etc. The map was geo-referenced by collecting GCP using DGPS for the villages.

Base map of Punjab showing layers like State boundary, International Boundary, District Boundary, Block Boundary and rivers etc. This includes location of all the health institutes under the jurisdiction of PHSC marked over the base map of Punjab and along with other institutes under DHS. Various health indicators, performance indicators were studied and analysed. Customisation of GIS software and development of detailed query system to make various comparisons and answer queries like district most affected with AIDS cases or areas where respiratory cases are more in number.

A Wetland Information and Management system has been prepared for the three wetlands of the state of Punjab i.e. Harike (International level), Kanjli (National level) and Ropar (national level). WIMS is a comprehensive tool for managing and viewing the information regarding Wetlands on map or through tables. The GIS system helps PSCST by speeding up the query processing time. Various environmental acts, policies etc. followed throughout the world are listed in the WIMS. User can have any information of the flora and fauna existing in the three Wetlands in different seasons.

Each unit in the city was surveyed and details of houses collected. The utility services of the city like water, Sewerage and Storm water drainage were overlaid on the base map of Chandigarh. The base map shows each unit in the city. Augmentation of water supply will be carried out using the data supplied by Municipal Corporation Chandigarh (MCC).

Building Management System is one of the most prestigious e-governance projects for the Chandigarh Administration, which involves the computerization of Sub-Divisional Office (Buildings), Estate Office and Chandigarh. This project automates the entire functionality of the building branch from when a fresh file is received to its final approval in accordance to the Building rules, 1952. Also, all the financial transactions made in the department will be communicated with the software of the Bank (hired by the Estate Office for taking care of financial aspects).
