People are critical to GBOPS's success. That is why we operate on an equal opportunities basis throughout and all our team work in a professionally managed HR environment that fully supports individual development.

Managers and team leaders are trained and empowered to lead whilst team members are encouraged and trained to contribute. A performance review process was introduced in the Chandigarh office in 2003, one of the first such schemes in northern India and one of the very few in all of India in which team members also comment on the quality and performance of their leaders.

As important is the health and safety consciousness that is now fully instilled in all the GBOPS family so that, for example not to wear a safety helmet is disciplinary offence - which, if you know India you will appreciate what a dramatic change that was. Not only team members but suppliers and contractors are included so that our culture, like that of the customer comes first, is now a part of everyday operations and firmly lodged in the minds of all the team.

In GBOPS the most talented and best informed are encouraged to lead from the front, we operate also a solutions driven culture not one in which blame, or more likely, the avoidance of blame is the driver. GBOPS is fortunate to have such people with such a wide span of experience in various fields however, as is often said in another context - "funny, the harder I practice, the luckier I get!"
